Rostov State Medical University is a renowned Russian public university in the beautiful city of Rostov-on-Don, Russia. In 1915, the Division of Medicine at the Russian Warsaw University was moved to Rostov on Don, which established the presently known institute as the Rostov State Medical University. The institute was initially formed as a department and later transformed into a medical Institute in 1930.
Rostov State Medical University is one of Russia's oldest higher medical educational establishments in bachelor's, master's, doctoral, residency and internship programs. In later years, the RostSMU medical faculty and Rostov Medical Women's Institute were united. They became the largest medical science and medical personnel training centre in the South of Russia.In 1994, The Rostov State Medical Institute transformed into the largest facility for basic education, research, and medical care in southern Russia and subsequently was renamed Rostov State Medical University.

RostGMU requires the applicants to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria, including the academic qualifications, language proficiency, age criteria, qualification certificates, and more. The Rostov State Medical University eligibility criteria are listed below:
Students shall complete the age of 17 years on or before the 31st of December of the year of admission to the MBBS course (General Medicine).
